I am amking banana bread that calls for quick cooking oats. I have old fashion oats and the packets of instant. Can either be used?

Yes, use the old fashioned oats for the recipe– not the instant kind.

Using the old fashioned will change the texture, which can be a good thing. I wouldn't use the instant, too much sugar in that and it's partially pulverized. Let us know how it turns out.
